McGuinty Government Infrastructure Improvements Continue TORONTO, Sept. 12 /CNW/ - NEWS Ontario will repair the Gananoque River Bridge on Highway 401 to improve road safety for the more than 27,000 drivers who use the bridge each day. Work includes repairing and re-coating the steel on the bridge, as well as various bridge concrete repairs. This preventative maintenance is part of Ontario's commitment to keep bridges safe across the province. The $1.6-million construction contract was awarded to Veolia ES Canada Industrial Services Incorporated of Hamilton and is expected to be complete by the fall of 2009.
