McGuinty Government Continues To Keep Ontario's Highways In Top Condition BARRIE, ON, Sept. 17 /CNW/ - NEWS The southbound lanes on Highway 400 from Forbes Road to Highway 11 in Simcoe County, north of Barrie, will be repaved to improve road safety and driving conditions. The $7.2-million construction contract was awarded to Walker Aggregates Incorporated of Collingwood and is expected to be complete by July 2009. During construction, southbound lanes on Highway 400 will be reduced to a single lane and the speed limit will be reduced to 80 kilometres per hour.
