McGuinty Government Keeping Bridges And Highways In Good Repair TORONTO, Sept. 18 /CNW/ - NEWS Ontario will begin improvements to 23 kilometres of Highway 115 south of Peterborough this fall. Starting at two kilometres south of County Road 20, construction work will include repaving the driving lanes, paving the shoulders and installing rumble strips. Paving the shoulders and adding rumble strips will increase highway safety. The roadway surface repairs between Tapley Quarter Line and County Road 10 will take place throughout the week and continue on weekends -- making the project quicker -- but will not be taking place on long weekends. Drivers may experience delays from single lane closures. The $2-million construction contract was awarded to Miller Paving Limited of Markham. The project is scheduled to be complete in the fall of 2008. QUOTES "This popular recreational route will be safer for travelers as a result of this project.
