McGuinty Government Committed To Driver Safety TORONTO, Sept. 19 /CNW/ - NEWS Ontario will repair 20 kilometres of Highway 401's westbound lanes from Carman Road easterly to Upper Canada Road this fall near Morrisburg. The $7.1-million contract was awarded to R.W. Tomlinson Limited of Ottawa. The construction work includes: repaving and adding rumble strips and fully paved shoulders to improve highway safety. Drivers will experience minor delays during construction when the westbound lanes are reduced to one lane. Motorists will be forewarned of lane closures by advanced signing.
